If you are a local musician aged 12-18 (KS3 or above) and play any instrument at Grade 3 level or above, come and join the NYO Open event, a free creative day of music-making, during NYO Unite in Birmingham.

Connect with other young musicians, learn from our creative team and NYO alumni, and play your part in creating a brand-new piece, taking inspiration from orchestral music that NYO and NYO Inspire musicians will be exploring throughout the day. You’ll be amazed how easy it is to make music with new people.

At the end of the day, you’ll showcase your creation in a special NYO Unite sharing performance for your family and friends. Plus, you’ll get to enjoy a live performance by other musicians participating in NYO Unite, featuring the very music that inspired your own piece.
