ALL CPD Sessions are FREE for schools that have an SLA with a Black Country Music Hub Service. 

Building Strong Musical Progression Across Your School.  

Join us for our schoolteacher CPD across the 26/27 academic year, focusing on building strong musical progression across your school. Each session focusses on a core element within key documents such as the National Plan for Music Education and the National Curriculum aiming to support you as a music lead to plan for progression across each year group, phase and key stage. All sessions are designed to build and develop themes and ideas from each other, but they can also be accessed individually. 

Thursday 22nd October 2026 - Developing a school curriculum built on progressive musical skills

 Friday 27th November 2026 -Find Your Voice:  Starting and Growing a Choir

Monday 11th January 2027 - Composer Toolbox (linking to the composing by pictures project)

Tuesday 9th February 2027 - Building confidence and progression in teaching Notation

Friday 19th March 2027 - School music development plans deep dive 

Friday 18th June 2027 -Leading Music In Your School

Each training session is from 1-4pm, and held at the Walsall Arena and Arts Centre, Hawbush Road, Leamore, Walsall, WS3 1AG.   

For schools without an SLA with a Black country Music Hub Service: 

Each session costs £40, or you can book three sessions for £100. 

For all schools that have an SLA with a Black Country Music Hub  

All the above sessions are completely FREE.

This training is subsided by Walsall Music Education Service and Arts Council England/DfE grant funding.
