The New Art Gallery Walsall - Composing Project
In association with The New Art Gallery Walsall, we are offering a landmark project with schools. Pupils are invited into the gallery, where they will discuss various art works, and subsequently compose music to accompany the images (examples are shown below)
Our composer in residence will guide the intrepid composers, whose pieces will all be recorded/filmed at the end of the project at school. These recordings will all be included in an end of project film to be screened on our YouTube channel.
8 'slots' have been allocated for schools: Wednesday 17th, Friday 19th, Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th January 2024 am or pm
Lasting 2 hours, the morning session starts at 9:45, and the afternoon session at 12:30 (with some flexibility for coach arrangements)
The project lasts for 6-8 weeks, and our composer in residence will visit your school during the project (at a mutually agreeable time) to help and support your student's creative energies
