The Aspiring Musicians of Walsall (AMOW) Music Competition offers soloists and bands a unique chance to compete for cash prizes, streamed and live performance opportunities and a professional recording of their winning piece.

Music of any style or genre is welcomed, but is limited to a maximum recording length of 3'30"

In last years successful inaugural competition, nearly 50 students submitted their entries. Limited to solo acts (any instrument/voice) or bands. groups larger than 1 can still enter but one performer will need to be the applicant. It is hoped in future, more categories can be opened up to cater for a greater variety of performance.

Adjudicators from around the country have been invited to judge on the performances based on their instrument and experience (each section will have a dedicated assessor). See who they are here
